Step 1: Power off your iPhone 8

Before you start working on your phone, make sure it's turned off. Press and hold the power button until the "Slide to power off" option appears on the screen. Slide the button to turn off your iPhone.

Step 2: Remove the screws

Use the Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two screws located at the bottom of your iPhone 8, on either side of the Lightning port.

Place the suction cup on the lower half of the front screen, just above the home button. Gently lift the suction cup to create a small gap between the screen and the body of the phone.

Use the spudger to pry the battery up from the adhesive securing it to the back of the phone. Gently lift and remove the battery from the phone.

Step 7: Install the new battery

Place the new battery in position and attach the battery connector to the logic board. Replace the metal cover and secure it with the five screws.
